Destiny emerged victorious in the U13 Classic division after 2 tough games on the second day of the Prince William Soccer Invitational. The team qualified for the semifinals with a 1:1 tie with BRYC Thunder White and a 1:0 win against the Stafford Attack on Saturday. In the semifinals against PWSI United Red on Sunday, the game was tied 1:1 at the end of regulation play. Neither team scored during a 10-minute overtime, so the game was decided by a shootout, which Destiny won 3:2. We advanced to the championship game against the Thunder White, and won 2:1. In handing out the trophies, Coach Lance congratulated the team and said "This completes out pre-season training."
The team had a great pre-season start at the Dulles National Tournament including an 8:0 win against the FCSC Fury and a hard-won 1:0 victory against the WCUSC Warriors. Unfortunately Destiny lost 0:1 to the Lady Tigers in the Semifinals.
Destiny played in the Columbus Day Tournament in Virginia Beach. In the Girls U13 Red division. We played Strictly Soccer (Brunk), VA Rush Academy White, TFC Navy, SWYA Strikers and CSSC Galaxy. Scores posted on Games page.
